Our Business

Our roots go back to 1997, when 'Innovatech', a Proprietorship firm, was founded in India by a Power Supply Designer and Engineering Manager - Ram Kumar Rajarathnam. The firm was engaged in providing technical support and market promotion of products and technology from Power Integrations Inc., USA. Several power supply and related businesses took root and flourished while the Power supply design community grew rapidly. We are proud to say - this ecosystem continues to grow today, thanks to a small part played by Innovatech's activities across India and beyond.

We have now metamorphosed into a Corporate entity with a team of Associates who are well qualified, bring hands-on expertise and are seasoned Power Electronics professionals with global experience, anchored in India.

We are further supported by Affiliate organizations who have Design and Manufacturing expertise in Power Electronics and Magnetics.

Who We Are

Ram Kumar Rajarathnam

He was associated with Power Integrations Inc., USA, between 1996-2008 in a multiplicity of roles, most recently as the Director of Power Integrations India Pvt. Ltd., leading their Applications Engineering and Business Development activities in India and SE Asia. Prior to that he worked in these companies: Electrohms-India, a Custom power supply and Magnetics manufacturer, Hinditron-Tektronix, India, a manufacturer of  Test and Measuring Instruments, and with Powercube – a subsidiary of Unitrode Corp, Boston, USA, a manufacturer of Military power supplies. He held varied responsibilities in these organizations including power supply design and manufacturing, technical marketing, R&D team building, project management and technology transfer. He holds an MSEE from Virginia Tech, and a BSEE from Bangalore University, India.

He was associated with ON Semiconductor most recently as Systems Engineering Director from 2004- 2008, and as Strategic Marketing Manager from 2002-2003. During this time he was responsible for defining strategy, roadmaps and technical content of many Integrated Circuit products for power supply applications and led their market promotional activities. He provided inputs for many regulatory initiatives from Energy Star and other agencies regarding power supply efficiency. Prior to joining ON, Dhaval worked at TI/Unitrode for 8 years in various responsibilities including IC product definition, applications, product management and strategic marketing. Earlier in his career, Dhaval worked as power supply design engineer at Digital Equipment and as a researcher at Philips Laboratories, USA. He has published and presented more than 25 technical articles, papers and invited talks. He also participates in many initiatives of PSMA (Power Sources Manufacturer’s Association). Dhaval holds 5 US patents. Dhaval’s education includes a B.Tech.(EE) from IIT-Bombay, MSEE from Virginia Tech and a Masters’ in Management of Technology from NTU.

Seshu Tatikola

Seshu is an Associate based in New Jersey, USA, promoting several initiatives between US and Indian companies. He has 24 years of Industrial experience in Automotive, Steel, Chemical and Electronic manufacturing industry in varying roles.  He has worked for 18 years in the field of Power Electronics, where he spent 6 years in bench work developing HF Switched mode AC/DC, DC/DC circuits and about 12 years in the Global Applications development role with Hitachi Metglas Inc. Presently he is actively engaged with the Renewable Energy industry. Seshu’s educational background includes B.S. (Applied Sciences) from Ranchi University, MSEE from Virginia Tech and an Executive MBA from Columbia University, New York, USA.
